Pro V1 is the gold standard in golf, yet its packaging was not living up to the product’s premium reputation. Despite the unrivaled performance backed by scientists, engineers, PGA pros, and 1,600+ patents, the packaging blended into the category and looked like every other brand.
Our challenge was to elevate the design so it propelled Pro V1’s equity rather than held it back, and to create packaging that aligned with the sophisticated brands golfers choose beyond the sport. By using our Favor Factors process, we focused on the cues that make something feel trustworthy, authentic, and truly worth it.

To represent the best ball in golf, we set out to break from typical premium golf ball packaging and create something instantly iconic for the 25th Pro V1 and Pro V1x. Titleist’s precision and rigor guided our approach, inspiring a design that was just as intentional and focused.
The result is a minimal, highly refined system centered on a modern monoline graphic that communicates accuracy, craftsmanship, and confidence. Instead of competing with louder category designs, it stands apart through restraint and clarity. The new packaging reflects what golfers expect from Pro V1: consistency, simplicity, and an unspoken promise of premium performance.

Creating the design was only the start. We activated Quad’s full capabilities to ensure it felt as premium as it looked.
We conducted extensive print testing, exploring embossing, substrates, finishing treatments, and perfecting the ink layering needed for the monoline gradient. We used Accelerated Marketing Insights by Quad to optimize performance at shelf. And we collaborated closely with Titleist’s print partners to ensure flawless production and scale.
Consumer insights guided every step, from ethnographic shopping studies to proprietary audience modeling analysis and stakeholder interviews. A tour of Titleist’s legendary production facilities deepened our understanding of the product’s engineering, shaping the rigor behind final production decisions.

The final packaging instantly reinforces Titleist leadership and clearly signals the performance upgrade behind the 2025 launch. It gives golfers a fast, intuitive read of “worth it” and stands confidently apart from the louder, busier designs across the category.
As a powerful sign of success, the client adopted the monoline as a hero element in the 2025 advertising campaign, allowing the packaging system to inspire the full creative platform.
